Solgar® Boswell contains a combination of boswell extract and Boswellia resin powder.
Boswellian resin is derived from Boswellia trees and is also known as Frankincense. The wood is native to India and the compounds contained in the resin derived from it are known to have beneficial effects on health. There are more than 20 different species of Boswellia. Resin-producing oils are made into different grades depending on the time of harvest, extraction and processing, and the purity of the oil. Solgar® Boswell extract is made from Boswellia Serrata, which contains the most useful compounds in resin. Boswellia has been used for centuries and is known to potentially support joint health.
The herbs used by Solgar® are carefully selected from plants grown in the wild or on special botanical farms. The finest, freshest plant raw materials are selected based on strict criteria. Account is taken of e.g. the geographical origin of the raw material, the verifiability of the species and the quality of the raw material.
